Lurex Consulting LLC wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, or voice control.
What we aim for
We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. That is the standard most commonly referenced for public websites, and it is the target we design and build to.
Where we currently stand
This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means most of the site meets the standard, and some parts do not yet. We would rather tell you that plainly than claim more than we can demonstrate.
Things we have checked and addressed:
- Text and background colours are measured for contrast rather than assumed, including text placed over photographs.
- Headings follow a logical order, and each page has a single main heading.
- Images carry text alternatives, and decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them.
- A “skip to main content” link is available so keyboard users can bypass the navigation.
- Navigation appears in the same place, in the same order, on every page.
Things we know are not finished:
- Some interactive elements have not yet been measured against the WCAG 2.2 minimum target size, so a few may be smaller than ideal on a touchscreen.
- Keyboard focus has not been verified on every single page, and on some pages a fixed header may briefly overlap the element being focused.
- We have not yet completed a full test with every combination of assistive technology and browser.

How this site is built
This site is built on WordPress. Some functionality comes from third-party plugins whose accessibility we do not fully control. Where a third-party component creates a barrier, we will look for a replacement or provide another way to get the same information.
